I attach the published Strategic Plan of the Commonwealth 2025-2030 https://thecommonwealth.org/publications/strategic-plan-2025-2030. CDPF senior officers met the Secretary General in person on this issue 30th July and submitted our written comments (attached).
Despite warm words from Shirley Botchwey, Secretary General of the Commonwealth both on 15th July and 30th July about valuing Inclusion , including the 450 million disabled people of the Commonwealth and this Strategic Plan being for all; we find no reference to Disability in the Strategic Plan.
We will have to build on a few general references that there are, but it underlines the vital importance to get the Commonwealth Law Ministers Meeting and the CHOGM both in 2026 to agree an effective and action orientate Disability Inclusion Action Plan
